Understanding global interdependence

The Global Education Foundation (Fundacja Edukacji Globalnej) is a Polish foundation based in Wrocław, established in 2026. We help people understand global issues and the connections between countries — through free materials and open educational resources. We work with young people as partners, not as recipients of aid.

Our approach

Young people are not passive recipients of aid. They are a key asset and full participants who help shape the direction of change.

So we move away from the aid model. We build on partnership, shared decision-making and shared governance. The Foundation works by young people and for young people — they are not the subject of our work, but its co-authors.

Agency, not pity. Tools, not sympathy.

What we do

We create free educational materials: lesson plans, worksheets, guides, infographics and games — available as open resources in Polish and English. We train teachers and educators, and run workshops and open lessons. We organise campaigns and global education weeks, debates and meetings with experts. We work with libraries and community centres, and some of our activities run online. We also publish in-depth analyses.

What we build on

We ground our work in international global-education standards. Our reference points are the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals, the „Youth, Peace and Security” agenda, the World Programme of Action for Youth, the Youth2030 strategy and the UN Youth Office, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and the Pact for the Future. We translate these frameworks into concrete educational materials and activities in Poland and abroad.
